The mission of Amigos de Animales is to help curb the overpopulation of companion animals in San Miguel de Allende thereby helping to help eliminate the fear, pain, suffering and misery of homeless animals both in the center of the city and in the outlying areas.
To this end, 229 dogs and cats – 88 cats and 141 dogs were sterilized at our weekend Blitz on March 12 -13, thanks to the veterinarians led by Octavio Capitan, DVM, vet techs and so many other dedicated volunteers. What an amazing team!
Amigos has now sterilized over 17,500 dogs and cats since inception in 2001.
